I believe that therapy begins with relationship. Feeling genuinely heard, respected and cared for can be a powerful experience in itself, and I see the relationship we build together as the foundation of our work. I want therapy to be a space where you can arrive as you are — without needing to have the right words, a clear goal, or everything figured out.
My approach is warm, relational and collaborative. I bring my professional knowledge, experience and curiosity to our work, while recognising that you are the expert in your own life. Rather than telling you what you should think, feel or do, I want to understand your experience alongside you. Together, we make space for what feels meaningful to you.My background in philosophy has shaped the way I think about people, relationships and the world around us, and continues to inform the frameworks I bring to therapy. I am particularly influenced by feminist and intersectional perspectives, which invite us to consider the broader contexts in which our lives unfold — including culture, identity, relationships, power and the social expectations we encounter. I believe these contexts matter, and that therapy should make room for the whole person rather than viewing experiences in isolation. "What does therapy with you feel like?"I aim to create a space where you can be vulnerable, curious and supported. Therapy doesn't need to be about having everything neatly worked out; sometimes it is about sitting with uncertainty, finding language for something that has been difficult to express, or beginning to understand yourself in a different way. I will meet you with compassion and curiosity, while respecting your pace and the ways you make sense of your own experiences.Inclusivity is an important part of how I practice. I welcome people of all backgrounds, identities and ways of being, and seek to offer culturally responsive, neuro-affirming care. I value and respect diverse relationships, families, cultures, identities and experiences, and recognise that there is no single way of being a person, having a relationship or moving through the world. Most importantly, I want therapy to be a space for you. A space where there is room for uncertainty, complexity, vulnerability, humour, hope and everything in between. We can start wherever you are, and work out together where you want to go from there.Qualifications
